ABSTRACT
In this chapter attention is focused on mathematical details such as solution of differential equations and characteristics of some of the functions. A more rigorous mathematical foundation is also developed for the growth and seasonal models, including several theorems. Some readers may wish to skip certain details; these are provided to give a sound mathematical basis for the models.
