ABSTRACT
We have concluded the first part of the text that dealt with energy transfer. This is the first chapter in the second part of the text on mass transfer. Figure 9.1 is a concept map which shows the relationship of this chapter to the other chapters on mass transfer. Like Chapter 1, this first chapter in the part on mass transfer discusses concepts of equilibrium with non-equilibrium in concentration being the driving force.
