ABSTRACT
In this chapter, we will overview the concurrent engineering methodology, which includes the product development model and the production process development models. These models use concurrent engineering as their overriding philosophy, strengthened by the use of a systematic design process. We will also give an overview of all the phases, steps, and team members of product and process design. In later chapters we will discuss the individual models in more detail.
