This chapter focuses on the selection of a forecasting method and its application to spatial electric load forecasting in a practical electric utility environment. The primary purpose of the forecasting discussed here is T&D planning, but targeted marketing, energy conservation and efficiency programs, and competitive planning issues are also addressed.
