ABSTRACT
The extrusion control system is referred to as not only the operator/
machine interface and monitoring center, but also all of the individual
motors, drives, temperature controllers, and measurement devices required
to manage the extrusion process. A precise control (and monitoring)
of process variables provides the ability to produce a product with
repeatable accuracy, high productivity, and low waste. At the same time,
the accurate control and monitoring of the extrusion process are
extremely important in troubleshooting, and for documentation and quality
control purposes.
