ABSTRACT
The primary capacity-constrained resource (CCR) is that resource which, more than any other, threatens the creation of throughput. If throughput is to be generated by the delivery of products to shipping, then it can be said that the primary CCR is that resource which threatens, more than any other resource, the ability of the system to deliver orders to shipping (see Fig. 1).
