ABSTRACT

Conventional electrical power systems have a single-phase or three-phase AC distribution system. Most of the loads in these systems require constant voltage and frequency for their operation. Traditionally, these loads have a positive incremental impedance characteristic. However, with the expansion of solid-state devices in AC vehicular power systems to improve the performance and flexibility, power electronic converters and motor drives are extensively used in different vehicles. Consequently, power electronic converters are emergent loads in AC vehicular power systems.
