ABSTRACT
As has been indicated earlier, the following protocols will emphasize contrast enhancement administration and timing. There will be no recommendations regarding kV, mAs, reconstruction algorithms, kernels or filters, and image hard-copying will not be discussed as it is assumed that best practice will be followed and reporting will be done on dedicated or PACS workstations. For the most part, only protocols which in themselves, or in some of their variants, involve intravascular contrast enhancement are given; dental CT and the petrous temporal bone/inner ear are included only for completion in the 'Head and neck' chapter.
