ABSTRACT

There has been very little work done on the intrusive rocks from Central America since the 1970s [1-3], so the advances that have been made on the understanding of the evolution of the volcanic rocks are not comparable to the knowledge of plutonic rocks. The most recent and extensive studies were done in the southern part of Central America [4] on the Talamanca range, Costa Rica [5]. This chapter is based on Weyl [1] and summaries of other reviews.
