ABSTRACT
Hydrometry means literally water measurement. In the past hydrometric engineers were particularly involved in streamflowmeasurements. Today many aspects of water measurements are included. Hydrometry is defined in this course as the measurement of flow in open watercourses, supported or complemented by the measurements of water levels, bed levels and sediment transport.
