ABSTRACT
This chapter lays out some ideas using the full-blown quantum internet. It focuses on quantum random number generation and quantum key distribution. Today several quantum computers have just hit quantum supremacy, and everybody these days seems to be working on the quantum internet. However, right now, it looks like the first application for the quantum internet will be quantum cryptography. Quantum internet 2.0 will expand on this network and move from attenuated laser pulses to distributing entanglement across the network. The teleportation experiment sits somewhere between foundation and practice; while it too tests the laws of quantum theory, teleportation is a primitive of any quantum network,. As the quantum networks mature, eventually, the quantum memories and the quantum repeaters will come online, and the purpose of the networks will evolve from distributing quantum key to distributing quantum entanglement.
