ABSTRACT
There is a number of parameters that are used for describing mechanical properties of steels. The main mechanical parameters and their units used in this chapter are:
Yield stress, or lower yield point stress, σ r MPa
Tensile strength, or ultimate tensile strength, σ t, MPa
Impact transition temperature ITT, °C
