ABSTRACT
Bone marrow is found in the medullary cavity of long bones and the spongy bone of flat bones. Red bone marrow is highly cellular and is actively engaged in blood cell and platele formation (hemocytopoiesis and thrombocytopoiesis) whileyellow marrow is primarily adipose tissue.
