ABSTRACT
Medical evidence can be obtained from many sources, all of which vary in quality depending on the methods used in establishing them. Naturally, studies that stringently adhere to scientific research principles are given more credence than studies with more relaxed or anecdotal methodologies. Figure 2.1 illustrates the widely accepted hierarchy of the research methodologies.
