ABSTRACT

In this chapter, the authors consider displays which portray profiles across environments for each attribute. They aim to see what response pattern they get across attributes for the individual environments. The environment index was the barely trimmed mean of the seven group summaries, i.e. the mean of the inner five group summaries. The range was the difference between the largest and smallest group summaries. Thus these two statistics used the information from all seven groups directly. The ordering of the attributes on the horizontal axis is based on the greedy close ordering obtained using all 58 genotypes. These profiles are presented in Exhibit 35.1 for each environment.
