ABSTRACT

An issue that we may need to face is on what variance to base calculation and display. As noted earlier (in Section 3.3 in Part A), we will try to work across environments and use adjusted s2 for our BSD values for comparing each of the 43 genotypes (the ‘main 43’) within the selected attribute-environment pair. The raw and adjusted mean squares for genotypes 1-43 are presented in Exhibit 6.1. Error mean square from analysis of variance for genotypes 1-43 for each attribute-environment combination, together with attribute and overall means
