ABSTRACT
Festivals and conventions can be a great opportunity to build an audience on a personal basis. It is also a very convenient way to playtest video game developers' latest build or a new feature and get in contact with potential business partners, such as publishers, marketing agencies, or distributors. The production, marketing, and publishing of a game contain many subtasks. Video game developers should also know where their community comes from and how they can reach them. Maybe developers need to invest money to reach them or already have an existing one. A new project entry can be created instantly, but before developers release a game, they have to submit an error-free version to Valve. Developers should get to know the platform ahead of time from their release and download the newest software development kit.
