ABSTRACT

Orbital lesions frequently appear at head and neck or ophthalmology clinics. Malignant lesions constitute a group of rare and uncommon tumors. Because of difficulties to get detected at the initial stage, many conjunctival, lacrimal, and orbital gland malignant tumors often get misdiagnosed due to the lack of proper clinical examination and diagnostic methods. Having lack of knowledge about it and not getting diagnosed by a general ophthalmologist on time are the most important reasons for developing such rare tumors. This lack of knowledge is also evident in the scarcity of literature covering the relative epidemiology and prognosis of these tumors. This chapter highlights cancers of various subsites of orbits and eyelids and their management.
