ABSTRACT
Chemotherapy typically involves the use of several antineoplastic (anticancer) drugs to treat cancer. The systemic use of chemotherapy has its roots in the work of PAUL EHRLICH for coining the word CHEMOTHERAPY. Treatment of cancer with drugs is recent development. In 1940, nitrogen mustard was used as the first anticancer drug.
