ABSTRACT
The future of the world and human race development is directly interlinked with the benefits offered by the cyber space. This chapter demonstrates how innovation and exponentially growing diversity of hardware, control software, and protocols, edging the world to the single interconnected hive of systems, is taking national conflicts and the warfare itself to the next cyber-state-of-the-art level. With the emerging intelligent and autonomous technologies on the horizon, the world is challenged to prevent, detect and response to the next generation cyber-attacks, cyber physical weapons and hybrid warfare, profiting from advances in military robotics and electronic sensors. These are all empowered by artificial intelligence, specifically tailored for each mission or universal, self-mutating, and evolving malware. The research concludes that the constantly evolving and boundless cyberspace, as well as the complexity to set international regulations and cyber codes of conduct, especially in the domain of AI, will remain a constant growing challenge to the human being and whole fabric of human society.
