ABSTRACT
This chapter discusses project management from different perspectives because project management is the heart of effecting any change, caused by the implementation of a policy, a large engineering project (LEP) or any type of project. In particular, this chapter provides an overview of the systems approach to projects and project management discussing the project lifecycle, project plans, project planning, generic and specific planning, the planning process and using prevention as well as mitigation to manage risks and generic project risks.
