ABSTRACT

A Pacific blue tang fish comes into your clinic today. She is brought in by her friend, who is clowning around. Her friend is concerned that she is losing her memory. He has noticed over the past 3 years that she keeps forgetting where she puts things and her short-term memory seems poor. She cannot remember where her family are and even forgot she could read. She speaks a variety of different dialects, including whale. She cannot remember if there is a family history of forgetfulness. Looking through her notes she does not have any medical conditions and just takes the occasional paracetamol. Her observations and clinical examination are normal and you suspect this patient may have signs of dementia.
