ABSTRACT

Achilles, a 25-year-old Greek gentleman, presents with pain in his heel and difficulty walking. He describes dodging a horse and cart while crossing a road after having attending the local steam baths. He felt a sudden pain to the back of the heel as if he was hit by someone. He did look around but there was no one in sight. He is unable to stand on his tip toes and you feel a palpable gap at the back of his heel. You suspect an Achilles tendon rupture.
