ABSTRACT

The previous chapters focused on the analysis of sequences we encounter in labs, reading, and seminars. This (hopefully!) redirected our inclination to look past letter strings, or to examine them only in cursory terms. Information at the base and base+ levels was the most amenable to exploration absent sophisticated computation. The aims were twofold: (1) reading skillshow we can approach unfamiliar sequences through probability and information, and (2) recognizing correspondences across individuals and sets. The present chapter revisits core ideas with a view toward writing sequences-the ip side of reading. The tools and procedures of previous chapters offer guidance and invitations to explore.
