ABSTRACT

A 70-year-old woman was admitted to hospital following a fall. She was unable to provide history regarding the fall and the doctor assessing her reported that she was confused. Her past medical history included gastro-oesophageal reflux disease, depression, hypertension, hypercholesterolaemia and heart failure. Her medications are listed below. She lived alone, was reportedly independent with all activities of daily living, and usually volunteered at a local charity shop. She did not drink alcohol, did not use recreational drugs and had never smoked.
