ABSTRACT
A 24-year-old man presented to the emergency room after developing palpitations. He reported that he had attended a party the night before where he had consumed 12–14 pints of beer. When he awoke the following morning, he was aware of palpitations but had not experienced chest pain or shortness of breath. He had no significant past medical history and did not take any medications. He worked in digital marketing as a social media influencer, smoked approximately 10 cigarettes per week and drank approximately 25 units of alcohol per week. He denied any recreational drug use.
