ABSTRACT

This subject has recently captured the fancy of a growing number of physicists of disordered systems. The reasons are simple:

The model which we will describe resembles smother model, that of spin glasses, which is used by physicists to describe the magnetic properties of diluted magnetic alloys. Physicists consider these alloys to be simple physical models of disordered media, such as glasses.

The existence of a quantity analogous to energy makes it possible to use the full power of the methods of statistical physics to determine the attractors.

It is possible to generate a network which has predetermined attractors.

This property allows the network to “learn” configurations which it will subsequently be able to “recover” from an initial condition which is not too far from the attractor previously created.
