ABSTRACT

The binomial name Homo sapiens was coined by the Swedish scientist Carl Linnaeus in 1758. The noun homo means “man, human being,” and sapiens can be translated as “wise”. Key success factors for Homo sapiens’ dominance are related to bipedalism and brain size. The human body is composed of many different types of cells that together create tissues and subsequently organ systems. The study of the human body includes physiology, which focuses on the systems and organs of the human body and their functions. Musculoskeletal System provides form, support, stability, and movement to the body. The human digestive system consists of the gastrointestinal tract and other organs of digestion such as tongue, salivary glands, pancreas, liver, and gall bladder. The respiratory system of animals and plants is used for “gas exchange”. The human cardiovascular system consists of heart, blood, and blood vessels. The lymphatic system is another circulatory system and plays an important role as part of adaptive immune system.
