ABSTRACT

The selection of basic polymer is usually defined by the fact that the electric properties of the ECPC are determined in many cases by the selection of electrically conductive filler and formation of the appropriate electrically conductive structure. Polyethylene of high density is used for preparation of pipes, flexible tubes, films, components of high-frequency devices and radio equipment, valves, cranes, plunger pumps, silent gear wheels and working at low loading. Foamy plastics are good heat-insulating fillers of internal volumes of various layer constructions requiring force, heat-, sound- and electric insulating properties, working at any relative humidity of the medium. Fluoroplastic is used as thickening material in equipment for fluor-containing media. It is applied for preparation of electric and radio-technical components, plates, rings, disks, cylinders, slipping bearing. Block polystyrene is recommended for electric insulation components and for components of refrigerators and capacitors.
