ABSTRACT

This chapter takes a look at what is important to healthcare professionals in life. Healthcare professionals may wonder how this is relevant to the many practical and pressing issues that are facing them in terms of them work, but often it's the very assumption that work and the rest of life are two separate things that causes the problems in the first place. The nature of life in the twenty-first century is that we are always rushing somewhere, doing something, filling our time. Young, hard-working and ambitious, she had reached a state of deep anxiety about her ability to cope with the pressure and expectations of her career. Thus some people are ambitious in their careers while others are ambitious in their private lives; some spend their hard-earned cash on smart cars while others spend it on holidays; experience might cause one person to associate learning with ridicule, while another might associate it with fun.
