ABSTRACT

This chapter presents the principles of the coding of the double needle bar samples, specific issues about the loop type and connections and the basic stitches. It also presents structures with one guide bar. All laps for single needle bar machines can be transferred and applied to a double needle bar machine. The simplest double face structures are produced by one guide bar only. All principles for creation of lapping diagrams and building loops of single needle bed machines can be applied for the separated beds of the double needle bar machines. The guide bars in the double needle bar machine are numbered starting from one in the front guide bar. The lapping motion at the front needle bar can be repeated in the back needle bar. The notation of the lapping movement of the guide bars is based on the notation of single needle bar machines, with some extensions.
