ABSTRACT

This chapter focuses on the fabric construction of the fabrics. The invention of the Jacquard machine in weaving allowed effective individual control of each warp yarn in weaving. The jacquard bar is more costly and requires special software and good educated people for the design of the fabrics. During the design of jacquard products, the designs create a painting with different colours. The activation of one guide at the jacquard guide deflects this guide at one position and makes its loop underlap, laid-in or tuck underlaps - longer or shorter- depending on the basic motion of the guide bar and the time of the activation. For the laid-in based jacquard the jacquard guide bars have to be placed last on the machine, or at least behind some ground bars, which will build holding underlaps. The jacquard guide bars which place laid-in yarn can be used often to create different backgrounds in the fabrics.
