ABSTRACT
The construction sector is currently undergoing a change process to adapt to the new market situation. In this changed scenario, management processes need to be improved in order to increase competitiveness. This chapter looks at studies from a variety of perspectives on these processes. It identifies the success factors for architectural practices and differences between project management systems from a strategic approach. A process-oriented approach examines management models that can improve quality, reduce production times, and minimize costs by providing examples of their application to building processes, ceramic coatings, and construction and demolition waste. The chapter presents a person-centered approach, with examples of worker-focused studies, job promotion systems, architectural career experiences, and the qualities that a project leader should have. Users are also examined to integrate their requirements into the design process. Construction technology is used for the creation, design, and installation of structures and their different components.
