ABSTRACT
Plant molecular biology continues to advance at a stunning pace. The ability to characterize and understand the role and interaction of particular genes and proteins in the establishment of complex signaling and biochemical pathways has been facilitated by the application of genomic technologies. The practical use of this knowledge for the development of new traits for crop plants is the focus of many researchers in both academia and industry.
