ABSTRACT

This chapter focuses on relationships between the families Fα and other well-known families of functions analytic. It begins with estimates on the integral mean for functions in Fα. Subsequently the membership of a function in Fα is related to its membership in a suitable Dirichlet space or Besov space. The chapter introduces the notion of subordination and proves Littlewood’s inequality which states that if two functions are related by subordination, then the integral mean is largest for the majorizing function. It also obtains set theoretic relations between Fα and the Hardy spaces.
