ABSTRACT
To perform assays it is crucial to have cell suspensions of high quality with a viability greater than 80%. This chapter describes the preparation of cell suspensions from the peripheral blood, peritoneal exudate, and from organs of vertebrates, such as the duck, the rat or mouse, and the trout, and of invertebrates, such as the earthworm and mollusks.
