ABSTRACT

Although many methods are reported for synthesis and functionalization of nanoparticles, only the most reproducible methods are selected and summarized in Chapters 3 through 5. However, it is still impossible to reproduce many of them for a graduate/researcher who is new in this field. In contrast, experienced researchers can reproduce most of them, particularly the methods they routinely use. This is because scientific research in this interdisciplinary area requires a great deal of expertise in different scientific disciplines, and mistake/failures can be minimized with the gain of experience. This chapter summarizes some common questions/issues/mistakes and provides guidelines to solve them.
