ABSTRACT
This chapter presents the two different methods that are used to mathematically model the construction schedule for equipment-intensive construction projects, which in turn produces a schedule that reasonably estimates whether the project can be completed in the time allotted. The first method is called Critical Path Method (CPM), and the second is Linear Scheduling (LS). It also demonstrates how to convert a schedule from LS to CPM.
