ABSTRACT

Attempts to reduce global warming involve the development of analytical methods for greenhouse gases and both natural and international research activities. There are many efforts going on to control global warming including existing mechanisms to reduce excess atmospheric CO2 levels, research programs and treaties. Global climate is the spatial and temporal distribution patterns of temperature world-wide. Since the beginning of the industrial revolution atmospheric carbon dioxide, methane and nitrous oxide levels have been rising. These and other gases have been termed greenhouse gases. Global dimming describes the gradual reduction in the level of total solar radiance at the Earth’s surface from 1950’s onward. This dimming causes a cooling effect which may have prompted scientists to underestimate the role of greenhouse gases in global warming.
