ABSTRACT
According to Dressel, integrative practices generally fall into three categories:
those that develop interrelationships among existing courses
those that reorganise content into more general courses
those that arrange content around vital problems relevant to student or society.1
Many attempts at integration in the medical curriculum have included combinations of these three basic types.
