ABSTRACT
Measurement of distances between nitroxide spin labels is based on the magnetic dipole–dipole interaction between two unpaired electron spins. As we saw in Chapter 9, the strength of this interaction depends inversely on the third power of the distance between the two spins, but it depends also on the angle between the interspin vector and the direction of the static magnetic field.
