ABSTRACT

In this chapter, the reader learns what to expect in the weeks after the game has launched to the player base. Topics include how to set up a patch plan, how review scores aren't always the final review for the game, and how there is never nothing to do—you should already be working on something new, and how fulfilling it is to see your game released. The reader is encouraged to put a framed copy of their game on the wall as a reminder of all the time spent creating it and a symbol of their success as a game designer. By the conclusion of the chapter, readers will have a firm grasp of how to conduct themselves in the weeks following the game's release, using the time to improve themselves as well as take stock of their achievements.
