ABSTRACT
Condition assessment programs are about taking a step back from that mentality, and creating a framework to observe and understand the system, so that gradually behavior can become more and more proactive and efficient. At some point, a crisis will be averted, or money will be saved, and the condition assessment program will become established as a part of a more proactive departmental culture. It also pays to be wary of adopting technology for technology's sake many will use advanced features as a tool to obfuscate. Comprehensive assessment programs generate large quantities of data make sure the process works before the onslaught begins. It is not overly dramatic to say that condition assessment programs can become matters of life or death. Effective condition assessment programs prevent issues and promote more efficient use of government resources, thereby saving taxpayer dollars and improving the lives of citizens.
