ABSTRACT
Module 1 establishes the notion of “composite professional” that integrates technical expertise, business know-how, effective communication skills, and other talents to develop innovative and sustainable solutions to society’s future challenges. Key topics that describe the evolution of the broad fields of engineering and computing, practice management and project management overlaps, and students’ preparation for professional practice have been extensively discussed.
