ABSTRACT
Module 2 traces the roots of of professionalism and the attributes of professional practice, including accreditation and licensing. The module discusses the historical perspectives of morals and ethics and their association with professional practice. It discusses the evolution of professional codes of ethics and organizations, with several corresponding examples. The module also provides knowledge about ethics, ethical theories, codes of ethics, and various categories of ethics including micro-, macro-, preventive, aspirational, technical, social, professional, and entrepreneurial ethics.
