ABSTRACT
This chapter provides a comprehensive overview of gas turbine combined cycle power plant emissions, e.g., carbon dioxide, criteria pollutants such as NOx and noise including governing regulations. The coverage includes a detailed look at air permits with the help of real permit data, which are critical for the successful execution of a commercial power plant project. Important emissions-related combined cycle power plant systems such as CEMS (continuous emissions monitoring system) and SCR (selective catalytic reduction) are also included in this chapter. Basic NOx emission calculations and unit conversions are discussed with calculated examples.
