ABSTRACT

It is difficult to obtain small and uniform particle sizes at

the grinding and classifying stage while making powdered

food from solid food. In order to obtain the required parti-

cle size, it is necessary to select suitable equipments for

raw food and pulverize and classify them repeatedly. The

characteristics of fine powder are its dust forming ability,

cohesiveness, and easy absorption of moisture from the

atmosphere; these characteristics can be improved if the

fine powder is agglomerated to larger particle size by

fluidized bed with spray water or steam. Powdered food

are indispensable processed food.
