ABSTRACT
The Schmidt graphical plot is a method for approximating
the exponential profile at various times between the start of
heating or cooling and the development of steady-state
conditions. It is a simple graphical method to estimate the
temperature at any point in the slab at any time, after
heating or cooling begins. The distance and time variables’
notations are used to describe the Schmidt plot to predict
the heating or cooling time in an object.
