ABSTRACT
Some reasons for this increase are lower prices for mem-
brane systems, increased processing capacity, develop-
ment of new markets, and replacement of old equipment
and technology.[3] A general trend in whey processing is
that the operating temperature is lowered to 10C because operating at this temperature overcomes problems of cal-
cium phosphate precipitation occurring at higher
temperatures.
