ABSTRACT
This chapter describes some general points of strategic and tactical play common to many connection games. A player proficient in one connection game can usually transfer at least some of his skills to related connection games with some degree of success. Although some fundamental concepts are endemic to the genre of connection games, it is the manner in which these are applied to individual cases and the resulting tactical nuances that make each game interesting.
